DESCRIPTION:Simulated Society "SIMSOC"\n\nAn exercise in cooperation\, communication\, trust\, collaboration\, compromise and much\, much more! The value to communities and civic leadership programs is very impactful and powerful. Based on the actions and interactions of the participants\, you will have to address the challenges of:\n Diversity\, equality\, and inclusion\n\n Economic Development\n\n Quality of life\n\n Distribution of wealth\n\n Fair and equal justice\n\n Unemployment and underemployment\nJust to mention a few of the multi-faceted challenges of leadership. And do all this while maintaining a thriving\, viable community! The "connections" that are made throughout the simulation with the realities of their own community\, are usually not available or possible for more community leaders. \n\nWOW no one said leadership was easy! SIMSOC helps participants gain insight into the multi-faceted complexities of maintaining a "society/community." During the activity\, participants are placed into a virtual community where communication\, trust\, problem-solving\, and face-to-face interactions are a must! SIMSOC is an excellent teaching tool for those who need to truly "experience" the complexities if working with a broad spectrum of needs\, wants\, and desires of the diverse group of people found in a community.
